French Oak Barrel for Wine - Premium Wine Making Barrel
High-quality French oak barrel imparts unique vanilla, spice, and brown sugar aromas to wine. The oak barrel ensures perfect wine structure and refined finish, creating a harmonious balance between fruit and toasted notes.
Suitability and Usage
- Ideal for grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah
- Recommended aging period: 12-18 months
- Toast level options: heavy, medium, or untoasted (for vinegar)
Barrel Preparation and Maintenance
New Barrel Preparation:
- Fill barrel with solution (10g tartaric acid per liter of water)
- Keep solution in barrel for 4-5 days
- Empty thoroughly
- Disinfect with sulfur strip
- Fill with wine
Used Barrel Cleaning:
- Clean with soda solution (1kg soda per 10l hot water)
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water
- Treat with tartaric acid solution (10g/l) for 2-3 days
- Disinfect with sulfur strip (1/4 strip per 100l)
Barrel Storage:
- Store in humid and cool conditions (70% humidity, temperature 12-17°C)
- Seal properly with wooden or silicone bung
- Repeat disinfection with sulfur strip every 3 months
