Integrated pumps: Unlike other units, this device has 2 integrated pumps and temperature controllers. This allows you to independently cool two fermenters simultaneously at different temperatures. Set the main reservoir temperature to -4°C (after adding 30% glycol), then set the other two temperatures on the G20's other side to your ideal fermentation temperatures. No additional wiring needed. The pumps are included and pre-wired, ready to use. Wort cooling: Cooling wort from 100°C to 50°C is usually quite simple with tap water. However, cooling from 50°C to 18°C can take a long time. This is because your tap water can be up to 35°C, meaning it would be impossible regardless of the amount of water used to cool to 18°C (yeast pitching temperature). The IceMaster G20 solves this problem and is an easy way to use sub-zero glycol to cool your fermenters to suitable temperatures for fermentation (NOTE: only use this device for wort cooling after you have already cooled below 50°C with water, otherwise risk overloading the compressor). Fermenter/Kegmenter cooling: Let's be honest. Australia is a hot country, and in many cases heating isn't necessary, but cooling is essential. Particularly larger and well-insulated fermenters often generate enough heat to warm the fermenter, which is why large commercial breweries often don't have heating. They rely on yeast activity to heat the fermenter. The G20 can be used to cool various fermenters with products like the Temp Twister. Heating: The IceMaster G20 glycol chiller can also be set up to heat the reservoir. The two temperature controllers have a push-in port to control heating of your chosen device. Note: installation of such a heating device must be done by a qualified electrician. Compressor, NOT thermoelectric: While thermoelectric glycol units are significantly cheaper to manufacture, you need compressor cooling for quick and efficient wort cooling. Compressors increase the manufacturing cost, but since they are electrically 3-6 times more efficient for this application, the initial manufacturing cost easily pays for itself in electricity savings. Additionally, compressors are significantly more powerful and can pump more heat even in hot ambient temperatures where thermoelectric units struggle. So if you want to maintain the ability to cool a fermenter quickly, compressor cooling can't be beaten. Installation requirements: This unit requires 100mm clearance around all air vents. Regular maintenance of dust around the radiator is necessary for optimal efficiency. Ideally use KegLand glycol/water ratio of 20% to achieve -8°C freezing point.

Suitable for small bars, cafes, restaurants, or even increasingly popular mobile bars. It's not uncommon for some craft beer producers to use this device for controlling fermentation temperature of their vessels, provided the vessels have thick insulating coverage. We don't recommend using this product for vessels over 500L capacity at normal 20°C room temperature. The ends are also compatible with duotight systems, allowing easy installation of 5mm x 8mm EVABarrier tubing. Ideally suited for use as a glycol system but can also be used as an ice bank. We want to clarify that in a single pass, G40.1 can only lower your product temperature by 15°C. Therefore, we strongly recommend that if you're dispensing product in an area where temperatures exceed 30°C, use the G40.1 for only two product lines and double them through the device, i.e., create two circuits through the chiller. Recommended setup: G40 inlet and outlet ports are compatible with duotight system. We recommend using 8mm duotight connections or 8mm duotight elbows - many find elbows allow easier installation. These 8mm threaded duotight elbows work well too. Our 5mm x 8mm EVABarrier is typically the right diameter for beer lines. For submerged system setup, you'll also need strong silicone and clamps.
