High alkalinity foam detergent

Remofoam is a high alkalinity foam detergent to be used for the daily cleaning of surfaces with critical contaminations, present in the food industry in general and in the zoo-technical sector. Remofoam is able to effectively remove different kinds of organic contamination such as cooked animal and vegetable fats and the greasy and carbonaceous soil from smoking ovens and fryers. Remofoam has an excellent clinging on vertical surfaces. Remofoam can be applied with a wide range of supply equipments (Easyfoam P, Combifoam, Foamlance, centralized systems, etc. …).

• Physical appearance: brown clear liquid
• pH: > 12
• pH (1% solution at 20°C): > 12
• Relative density at 20°C: 1,45 ± 0,05
• Conductivity 1% sol. at 25°C: 20 mS/cm.

Instructions for use*

Pre-wash with water (indicated temperatures from 35 to 50°C), followed by the foam application of Remofoam directly on the surfaces to be treated, at a concentration between 3 and 6%, according to the kind of dirt and the contamination degree. After a contact of 10-15’ carry out a careful final rinsing with drinking-water to remove any possible trace of washing solution. Anyway avoid prolonged contact times with surfaces (> 1 hour).

Fields of application

Remofoam can be applied for the cleaning of walls, floors, external side of equipments and lines, tables and conveyor belts. For smoking chambers, industrial fryers and their lines.

Compatibility of the formulation

Remofoam is compatible with most material normally present in food industries, if used according to the producer’s indications. Do not use on light alloys such as aluminium and zinc-plated iron. In case of doubt, carry out a test on the single material before using the product.

Precautions for handling and storage

Store in the original containers and avoid extreme temperatures. Frost sensitive - keep at temperatures above 7°C.

Titration method

• Sample: 50 mL of washing solution
• Indicator: phenolphthalein
• Titrating agent: hydrochloric acid (HCl) 1N
• % (v/v) Remofoam = mL titrating agent x 0,130
• % (w/w) Remofoam = mL titrating agent x 0,211
