Iodine solution is a special reagent designed to determine the free sulfur dioxide (SO2) content in wine using the Vinoferm acidometer (product number 013.049.2). This quality solution enables accurate and reliable measurement in the winemaking process, where SO2 content control is essential for ensuring wine preservation and quality.
Principle of use: The iodine solution reacts with free sulfur dioxide in wine during a chemical reaction. When measuring with the acidometer, iodine solution is added drop by drop to the wine sample until the reaction is complete, allowing calculation of the exact SO2 concentration. This method is a simple and quick way to check if the wine contains sufficient preservative to prevent microbial growth and oxidation.
Important information: This product is only suitable for determining free sulfur dioxide in wines that do not contain ascorbic acid (Vitamin C). The presence of ascorbic acid may affect measurement accuracy. The solution volume is 1 liter, ensuring long-term use and enabling numerous measurements. The product is designed for use with the Vinoferm acidometer, ensuring system compatibility and measurement reliability.
