In contrast to the traditional centrifugal system, this machine's compression decanting avoids the crushing of grapes and marc as they pass through the internal pipes.
The elliptical piston wine pump boasts a power of 3 kW, and an hourly output of 10,000 to 12,000 kg. It is equipped with a practical loading hopper, which allows the grapes and marc to pass through the rotor and be pushed along the outlet pipe. The hopper is 40 cm high, while the entire machine has a footprint of 170x65x137 cm, and a weight of 145 kg. The 4HP electric elliptical piston pump is made entirely of AISI 304 stainless steel. The hose used is 25 metres long and has a diameter of 100 mm and 60/80 mm for the transfer of grapes and grape marc, and destemmed grapes respectively. The head of the elliptical piston pump for wine is 8 metres.
