Principle of use. The measuring cylinder is used for accurate measurement of liquids in laboratory and home conditions. Pour the liquid to be measured into the cylinder, place it on a flat surface and read the result from the scale at the level of the lower meniscus (curved surface) of the liquid. Your eye level should be at the same height as the liquid level to avoid parallax error.
The measuring cylinder is ideal for measuring sugar content during berry and fruit fermentation and for checking alcohol content using an alcoholmeter. It is also a convenient tool for dosing and mixing liquids. The glass body is chemically resistant and does not react with acidic or alkaline liquids, making it suitable for both food production and laboratory work.
